Question 952396: I really need your help :)
solve for the profitability to happen and to fail of :
1) drawing a spade of multiple of 2 from an ordinary deck of cards excluding jack, king, and queen.
2) having a color from the rainbow which is a family of red.
Answer by rothauserc(4718) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
1) there is only one 2 of spades in an ordinary deck of cards, therefore
Probability of drawing a 2 of spades is 1/52, there are 52 cards in an ordinary deck of playing cards
2) there are 13 hearts (red) and 13 diamonds (red) in an ordinary deck of playing cards, therefore
there are 13 + 13 = 26 red cards
Probability of drawing a red card is 26/52 = 1/2
