Count the # of ways to succeed::
spade = 13 cards including the ace of spades
red = 26 cards including the ace of hearts and ace of diamonds
ace = 4 cards but 3 are already selected above

# of ways to succeed:: (13-1 + 26-2 + 4) = 12+24+4 = 40
# of possible outcomes:: 52

P(spade or red or ace) = 40/52 = 10/13

In a standard deck, there are:
13 spades
4 aces
26 red cards
You also have to account for double counting,
The ace of spades (spade)
The ace of hearts (red)
The ace of diamonds (red)
So then,

You could also look at the cards that are left and work backwards.
It would be all the clubs minus the ace of clubs which would be 12 cards.
