Question 939569: For two events, A and B, P(A) =.4, P(B) =.7, and P(A?B) = .2. What is P(A|B)?
I know the answer but need to know HOW to get the answer
I've tried P (A|B)= p(A)x P(B)= .28, however the choices are .29 (correct answer), .5, .08, .14. Somehow I think I'm missing something as neither the mutually exclusive nor the addictive rule seem to fit.

For two events, A and B, P(A) =.4, P(B) =.7, and P(A?B) = .2. What is P(A|B)?
-----
Comment:: Since P(A|B) is not 0.4*0.7, A and B are NOT independent events.
---------------------------------
Formula you need:: P(A|B) = P(A and B)/P(B)
---
Question:: What do you mean by P(A?B) = 0.2

Stan H.
