Question 926204: A vertical line drawn through a normal distribution at z = 0.73 separates the distribution into two
sections, the body and the tail. What proportion of the distribution is in the body??

There are two kinds of normal tables. Those that read from the far left,
and those that read from the middle.

If you have the kind that reads from the far left, look up z = 0.73 and read .7673

If you have the kind that reads from the middle, look up z = 0.73 and read
.2673. Then add 0.5000 and get 0.7673.

The body is 0.7673 and the tail is 1.0000-0.7673 = 0.2327.
