Question 922799: If 0 and 1 are the only possible values of the random variable x, and if P(x) = P(1)=0.8, is a probability distribution defined? Why or why not?
Answer by Fombitz(32388) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Yes, kind of.
P(1)=0.8 then P(0)=1-0.8=0.2.
So you kind of back into it using the rules of probability distribution.
Certainly not the preferred method of definition.
