Question 913620: P(1)=P(2)=0.2
P(3)=P(4)=0.15
P(5)=0.3
Find the probability of each of the following events:
A: { Either 2 or 3 occurs }
B: { Either 2, 1, or 4 occurs }
C: { 5 does not occur }
P(A)=
P(B)=
P(C)=

Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P(A) = P(2)+P(3)

P(A) = 0.2+0.15

P(A) = 0.35

-------------------------------------------------------

P(B) = P(1)+P(2)+P(4)

P(B) = 0.2+0.2+0.15

P(B) = 0.45

-------------------------------------------------------

P(C) = 1 - P(5)

P(C) = 1 - 0.3

P(C) = 0.7
