could you help me out? I'm not sure exactly how to set it up and solve it

the 12/6 should be 12 C 6. This is referring to the combination formula

12 C 6 = (12!)/(6!*(12-6)!)

12 C 6 = (12!)/(6!*6!)

12 C 6 = (12*11*10*9*8*7*6!)/(6!*6!)

12 C 6 = (12*11*10*9*8*7)/(6!)

12 C 6 = (12*11*10*9*8*7)/(6*5*4*3*2*1)

12 C 6 = (665280)/(720)

12 C 6 = 924
