Private Transportation: 32 32 33 34 37 37 38 38 38 39 40 44
a)Calculate the mean, median for each group.
my solution :
the mean for public transportation = 31.6
the mean for private transportation = 36.8
the median for public transportation = 31.5
the median for private transportation = 37.5
b) Find the lower and upper-quartiles, and the inter-quartile range for each group.
my solution :
lower quartile for public transportation = 27.5
upper quartile for public transportation = 35.5
inter-quartile range for public transportation = 8
lower quartile for private transportation = 33.5
upper quartile for private transportation = 38.5
inter-quartile range for private transportation = 5
c)Calculate the standard deviation for each group.
my solution :
standard deviation for public transportation = 5.51
standard deviation for private transportation = 3.56
d)Compare the times of two groups
