Question 866841: Please help...
1. A population has a standard deviation of 2 and a z-score = -1.00. In this population, what is the mean?
2. What is the probability of randomly selecting a z-score greater than z= -.30 from a normal distribution?

1. A population has a standard deviation of 2 and a z-score = -1.00. In this population, what is the mean?
-----
If 2 has a z-score of -1, 2 is one standard deviation below
the mean.
The mean would have to be 2+2 = 4
----------------------------------------------
2. What is the probability of randomly selecting a z-score greater than z= -.30 from a normal distribution?
---
P(z > -0.3) = normalcdf(-0.3,100) = 0.6179
--------------------------------
