For the normal distribution:
one standard deviation from the mean accounts for about 68% of the set
two standard deviations from the mean account for about 95%
and three standard deviations from the mean account for about 99.7%.
mean of a normal probability distribution is 716; the standard deviation is 11.
(a) About 68% of the observations lie between what two values? 705 and 727
(b) About 95% of the observations lie between what two values? 694 and 738
(c) Practically all of the observations lie between what two values? 683 and 749
