1)there are 12 face cards(K,Q and J in each of 4 suits) in Deck.

Choose 6(4 face and 2 others), p(4 face cards) = = = .0190

mean much. got You started with 'special ways'...check each out completely...

finding combinations, arithmetic etc

P = special ways/total ways

1)P = special ways/(52C6) = special ways/20,358,520 ==  = .000141

2)33 to chose 9 from

 P = special ways/(33C9) = special ways/38567100 =  =  .2920147

3) P = special ways/8! =  = .000025  (only 1 way books are alphabetical left to right)

4)32 to chose 14 from

 P = special ways/(32C14)= special ways/471,435,600 = 

5) 31 to chose 14 from

P = special ways/(31C14) = special ways/265,182,525 =
