Find the area under the standard normal curve to the right of
z = -0.95
Round your answer to four decimal places.
It is the process or equation that I am just not understanding. If you could show how you got the answer, I would appreciate it.
--------
Draw the picture so you can see what is happening.
Draw a standard normal curve with u = 0 and sigma = 1.
-----
Plot the point z = -0.95 (close to one sigma to the left of the mean).
-----
Draw a vertical line from that z-value up to the curve: shade
the area to the right of that line segment.
-----
The shaded area is 0.5000 plus the area between 0 and 0.95
Use your z-Chart to find that area:: 0.5000 + 0.3289 = 0.8289
--------
OR
I use a TI-84 to find normalcdf(-0.95,100) = 0.8289

Stan H.
