Question 808311: here is the question http://i.imgur.com/rOyui8N.png
i got 0.046395847
as my answer
what i did was, instead of having the whole numbers i made each section into percentages and my four pieced of info became this respectivly
0.928571429 0.071428571
0.194690265 0.805309735
then i multiplied the each coloum. then added both the products
and with that sum i multiplied it times .194690265 ( positive test given the person does not have a dieses.)
can some one explain what i might have done wrong and the right way to solve it, since i have many more of the similar problem
Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Well, your answer is close to "D", which is the correct answer.
-----
I don't use the method you used but yours seems to work.
-----
You did not post your problem with its data on the algebra.com
site so I can't show you how you would use the Bayes formula
to get "D".
