Question 789105: Inside a basket there is 36 dark chocolates, 30 milk chocolates, and 24 white chocolates. In random, what is the probability of picking a white chocolate...these are the possible choices: 1/24, 8/24, 4/16, and 6/15?
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There are 36+30+24 = 90 chocolates total.
P(White Chocolate) = (# of white chocolates)/(# of chocolates total)
P(White Chocolate) = (24)/(90)
P(White Chocolate) = 4/15
There has to be a typo somewhere, so please double check. Thanks.
