Question 770343: A salesman has a 60% chances of making a sale to any one customer .the behaviour of successive customer is independent variable.if two customers A and B entre, what is the probability that the salesman will make a sale to A and B.
Answer by jam007(5)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
P(salesman making a sale) =60/100 = 0.60
Since the sales are independent, we can write
P(the salesman will make a sale to A and B)
= P(the salesman will make a sale to A and the salesman will make a sale to B)
=P(the salesman will make a sale to A)*P(the salesman will make a sale to B)
=0.60*0.60
=0.36
