Question 766003: What is the probability of rolling a multiple of 3 on a fair die?
Answer by ramkikk66(644)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Total number of possible outcomes while rolling a die = 6 (1 through 6)
Two of the possible outcomes are multiples of 3 i.e. 3 and 6
So the probability of getting a multiple of 3
= No. of desirable outcomes (multiple of 3)/No of possible outcomes
= 2/6 = 1/3
