Question 740762: Brenda has 5 male kittens and 3 female kittens. If she picks up 2 kittens to give to a friend, what is the probability that she will pick up 1 male and 1 female kitten?
I thought that it would start with a pick of 5 male kittens, so 5/8 for the probability. Then, one would be gone, leaving a probability of 3/7 for female kittens. However, that gives me the answer of 15/56, which is the wrong answer.
