Question 736982: A number cube is rolled 25 times. A number less than four comes up 20 times. What is the experimental probability that a number less than four is rolled?
Answer by Simnepi(216) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
since 'less than 4' occurred 20 out of 25 times we start by forming a fraction with those numbers and the converting this to a percentage.
so we get
this fraction can be reduced, cancelled, written in its lowest terms as
we now convert this into a percentage
divide the top number by the bottom then multiply by 100
i.e. 4 divided by 5 gives 0.8
multiplying this by 100 gives 80%
so the experimental probability of rolling a number less than 4 is 80%
