Question 730252: sorry Sir, i can't understand this question from last 5 days, please help me. and also this Question too...
Jobs arrive to a computer system have been found to require a CPU time that can be modeled by an
exponential distribution with mean 140 msec. The CPU scheduling algorithm is quantum-oriented so
that a job not completing within a quantum of 100 msec will be routed back to the tail of the queue of
waiting jobs.
a). What is the probability that an arriving job will be forced to wait for a second quantum?
b). Of the 800 jobs coming during a day, how many are expected to finish within the first quantum?
Best regards,
Umer
