Student taking test, several multiple choice questions. 1 point awarded for each correct. If there are 3 options for each question, and 1/2 point is penalized for each wrong answer, s it in the best interest to guess? Why?
2nd question: If there are five options for each question, 1/2 points penalized for each wrong answer, how many options must student be able to rule out before the expected value of guessing is zero?
