A SIMPLE FORM IS:
PROBABILITY=SUCESSFULL OUTCOMES/TOTAL POSSIBILITIES.
EXAMPLE:
WHAT ARE THE CHANCES OF ROLLING A 1 ON ONE ROLL OF A DIE?
P=1/6 OR .167 OR 16.7% OF THE TIME A ONE WILL APPEAR.
