The number of trees in an orchard is found by multiplying the number of rows by the number of trees in each row. Let the number of rows be called x.
Because there are as many trees as there are rows, the number of trees is also x.
So x multiplied by x gives us the number of trees. Multiplying a number by itself is called squaring.
To 'undo' squaring you have to find the 'square root'.
using a calculator we find
= 105
So there are 105 rows (with 105 trees in each row)
