Question 697112: hi i'm given the regression equation calculated from a data is
q1)y=11.238+1.309x, i'm asked to estimate the lung damage for someone who has being smoking for 40 years,
to give information about the graph i have is the number of years smoking is along the x-axis and along the y-axis is i have the lung damage. its scenario relating how many years an individual is smoking and what is the lung damage it causes.
so what i want to know is do i replace the 40yrs with the x in the regression equation to get the lung damange or what else?
q2) when i'm given a scenario that says 1/4 that lands heads, and 3/4 that land tail, it says that the coin is tossed twice and x is the random variable that counts the number of times it lands points up.so how do i write the probabilty distribution of x.
