Question 694783: Find the sum of the areas under the standard normal curve to the left of z = -1.25 and to the right of z = 1.25.
I am using the standard normal distribution table for this question. So far I have that the left of Z= -1.25 = .1056
so does that mean that the right of Z= 1.25 = .1056 and than I have to add those two together to = .2112. Would .2112 be my answer or will I have to subtract 1-.2112= 0.7888? this is where I am confused to know if I am doing more than what has to be done.

Find the sum of the areas under the standard normal curve to the left
of z = -1.25 and to the right of z = 1.25.

Correct
-----------------------------
so does that mean that the right of Z= 1.25 = .1056
Yes, because of the symmetry of the standard normal curve.
-----------------------------
and than I have to add those two together to = .2112. Would .2112 be my answer
Ans: Yes
