A jar contains 5 green marbles and 3 orange marbles. you randomly choose a marble from a jar. Without replacing the marble, you choose a second marble. What is the probability that both marbles are orange?
---------------
If you have studied conditional probability you know.
P(A and B) = P(A)*P(B|A)
You want:
P(orange and orange) = P(orange)*P(orange|orange}
P(orange)=3/8
P(orange|orange)=2/7 because if you have already removed
an orange there are only 2 left; and or course there are only 7 marbles left.
Answer: P(orange and orange)= (3/8)(2/7)=3/28
