Question 677654: Now that the presidency has been decided, I thought we can look at something related. Some of the close/swing states included Virginia and Florida. If the president had 50% of the vote in Florida based on a subset of the population, what is the 95% CI for the proportion of the entire state of Florida if we want to fairly sample 1000 people? Would you be comfortable that this interval contains the true population proportion? Why or why not?
