Answer by stanbon(75887) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Three men and four women are waiting to be interviewed for jobs and selected in random order. Find P(second interviewed is a woman) as a decimal to 3 places.
-----
Number of possible pairs: 3*4 = 12
----
Number of pairs where the 2nd person selected is a woman: 6
-----
P(2nd intereviewed is a woman) = 6/12 = 1/2

If you are looking for "the 1st interviewed is a man and 2nd is a woman"
the answer is 3/12 = 1/4
