Question 66832: how do you add and subtract radicals?
Answer by checkley71(8403) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
SQRT25+SQRT81 GENERALLY YOU HAVE TO REDUCE THE RADICALS IF POSSIBLE THUS
5+9=14
OR SQRT75-SQRT27 NOW WE NEED TO EXTRACT THE SQRTS FROM BOTH RADICALS THUS
SQRT(25*3)-SQRT(9*3)
5SQRT3-3SQRT3
(5-3)SQRT3
2SQRT3
HOPE THIS HELPS.
