Question 663780: Good day! I am so confused regarding the following question:
Solve the problem. Round results to the nearest hundredth.
The mean of a set of data is -3.82 and its standard deviation is 2.31. Find the z score for a value of 3.99
Any advice you can provide would be greatly appreciated! Thank you very much! Have a wonderful day!
Sincerely,
Gina C.
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
z = (x - mu)/(sigma)
z = (3.99 - (-3.82))/(2.31)
z = (3.99 + 3.82)/(2.31)
z = (7.81)/(2.31)
z = 3.38095238095238
z = 3.38
So the answer is z = 3.38
