There are 4 aces out of 52 cards. In probability "out of" means "over",
so

P(ace) = 4 out of 52 = 4 over 52 = which reduces to .

There is 1 four out of 6 numbers on the die. In probability "out of" means "over", so

P(four) = 1 out of 6 = 1 over 6 =

We want to know

P(ace AND four). In probability "AND" means "multiply", so

P(ace AND four) = P(ace)×P(four) = × =
