Question 629340: for a normal distribution that has a mean of 100 and a standard deviation of 8, what is the z score for x=98, x=108 and x= 112
Answer by jim_thompson5910(35256) (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
z = (x - mu)/(sigma)
z = (x - 100)/(8)
-------------------------------------------------------------
z score for x = 98
z = (x - 100)/(8)
z = (98 - 100)/(8)
z = (-2)/(8)
z = -0.25
-------------------------------------------------------------
z score for x = 108
z = (x - 98)/(8)
z = (108 - 100)/(8)
z = (8)/(8)
z = 1
-------------------------------------------------------------
z score for x = 112
I'll let you do this one
