Question 626670: Determine the probability of winning the florida lottery. Assume there are 5 numbers each of which can have a value from 1 to 53. No repeats are allowed
Answer by fcabanski(1391)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
There are 53 choices for the first number, 52 for the second, 51 for the third, 50 for the fourth and 49 for the fifth.

That means there are a total of 53*52*51*50*49=344,362,200 possible combinations.

The probability of one selection winning is 1/344,362,200=2.9 x 10^-9 approx. (2.9x10^-7 %)
