Question 621764: How would I solve this problem? My teacher explained to me but i still do not understand.
Suppose you are playing a game with two number cubes. Let A represent rolling 2, 3, or 4, and B represent rolling 1, 5, or 6. The probability of A is and the probability of B is .
a. Simplify
b. What is the probability that one number cube shows 2, 3, or 4, and the other shows 1, 5, or 6?

The probability of A is the number of ways A can happen divided by the number of different results rolling a number cube can have. Same thing for the probability of B.
The results of each roll number cube is utterly independent of the result from a previous roll or from the roll of any other number cube.
The total probability of two independent events is the product of the two individual probabilities.
