9 employees = 15 days, so 3 employees = 5 days. It follows then, that if all employees are equally efficient, bringing in 3 more workers would reduce the time taken by 5 days, making the answer 10 days.

Time taken by 9 employees to complete the task = 15 days.
3 more employees mean that there are 12 employees now.
Time and work are inversely proportional.
So time taken by 12 employees = (9 * 15)/12
= 11.25 days.
WE conclude that more employees need less time to complete the work.
