P(E U F) = P(E) + P(F) - P(E)*P(F) **** See note below ****
P(E U F) = 0.3 + 0.8 - 0.3*0.8
P(E U F) = 0.3 + 0.8 - 0.24
P(E U F) = 1.1 - 0.24
P(E U F) = 0.86
**** Note : Since "E & F are independent events", we can say P(E intersect F) = P(E)*P(F) ****
