Question 604310: In a large firm, the pool of applicants for the positions of sales manager and sales associate consists of three men and three women. If each candidate has an equal change of being selected, what is the probability that both positions will be filled by men?
There are three outcomes; two men, two women and a man and a woman. I figure the probability of 2 men being selected for the jobs is 1/3, but that is wrong. Please explain what I am missing. Thank you : ))

there are actually four equally probable outcomes:
two men ___ manager and associate
two women ___ manager and associate
woman manager, man associate
man manager, woman associate

all the outcomes have an equal probability of 1/4


this is similar to flipping two coins (or one coin, twice)
