number of successes = 2
number of failures = 4+4 or 8

probability = = = =

What are the odds in favor of choosing a red marble?

    number of successes = 4
    number of failures = 4+2 or 6

odds in faver = (number of successes):number of failures = 4:6 which
reduces just like a fraction as 2:3

What are the odds against choosing a blue marble?



    number of successes = 4

    number of failures = 2+4 or 6



odds against = (number of failures):number of successes = 6:4 which
