Question 58616: 9 houses are built on a circular road. Each house is painted red, white, or blue with a probability 1/3 for each color. What is the probability that no two adjacent houses are the same color.
Is this simply 2/3 since the probability of any adjacent house not being the same color is 2 out of 3??? Seems too simple.
