what is the probability that a random 2 digit number from 00 to 99 does not end in 5?
====================
First, let's compute the probability that the number does end in 5:
The possible numbers ending in 5 are 5,15,25,35,45,55,65,75,85,95
This is a total of 10 out of a possible 100.
So the probability that the number ends in 5 is 10/100 = 0.1
Therefore the probability that the number does not end in 5 is 1 - 0.1 = 0.9
