Suppose that a company determines if it will accept a shipment of 15 items by sampling 5 of the items for close inspection. Suppose that 4 of the items in the shipment are defective.
Referring to Defective, find the standard deviation of the number of defective items.
I think the way to do this problem is npq to get the variance and then find the square root to get the standard deviation. (5)(.8)(.2)=.8 then the square root is .8944
