Question 54087: Hello all! Here is my question. In any distribution, the z score of the mean is equal to ________?
My answer is: zero but I am not sure. Could somebody help? Thank you very much.

Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
The formula is z(x)=(x-mu)/sigma
Therefore z(mu)=(mu-mu)/sigma = 0/sigma = 0
---------
What this says is mu is zero standard deviations apart from the mean.
z is always the number of standard deviations x is away from the mean

Stan H.
