I think I should use nPr formula, but the given answer in the tutorial was 14/(p)*(d)
If I use nPr, I get:
P = 0.01049 for all male
P = 0.000874 for all female

#1 you're reading the question incorrectly. It isn't two separate questions (a. Find the probability of all males. B. Find the probability of all females). It's a compound question asking you to find the probability that it's all males or all females.


Not sure what the answer in the tutorial means. What is p and d?


This is the P(male) OR P(Female) = P(Male)+P(Female).


These are found with combinations, because order doesn't matter. If the team has Jerry as the first member, or Jerry as the last member, the team still has Jerry.
