If there are two finalists and they together received 5175 votes but One recieved 25% more votes home many did he receive?
----
1st person received "x"
2nd person received "1.25x"
-----
Equation:
x + 1.25x = 5175
2.25x = 5175
x = 2300 votes
1.25x = 2875 votes
