Two people go hunting, each fire one shot at a deer. The probability that the first person hits the deer is .3 and the probability that the second person hits the deer is .4. The shots are independent. Find the conditional probability that the second person hit the deer given that exactly one shot hit the deer.

let's say these two "marksmen" both shot 10 times at the same target
___ you would expect to find 7 holes in the target
___ 3 from the first person and 4 from the second person

if you picked a random hole, the probability is 4/7 that the second person made it

given that the deer was hit, the probability is .4/.7 (4/7) that the second person did it
