How many possibilities give you at least a 6 on the dice? (1,6;2,6;3,6;4,6;5,6;6,6;6,1;6,2;6,3;6,4;6,5;) 11
How many possibilities give you a sum of 8? (2,6;3,5;4,4;5,3;6,2) 5
P(one 6 or sum of 8) = P(one 6) + P(sum of 8)=11/36 + 5/36 = 18/36 = 1/2 <--- Answer
