Question 496785: I need help with compare type I and type II errors and explain the possible negative effects of each error type in the life sciences
Answer by stanbon(75887)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Type I is alpha; it is the probability that you
reject Ho when in fact it is true.
-------
Type II is beta = 1-alpha ; it is the probability that
you fail to reject Ho when it fact it is false.
------------------------
Just remember that Type I is the same as the size
of the reject region.
