a) Determine the number of points in the sample space.
Ans: 4C2 = 6

b) Construct a tree diagram and list the sample space. Determine the probability that they select

Ans: 1 way to select the Persian; 3 ways to select the 2nd cat.
P(select Persian) = (1*3)/6 = 1/2

d) the Persian cat and the calico cat.
Ans: 1 way to select the P and the C
P(P and C) = 1/6

e) cats other than the Persian cat.
Ans: 3C2 = 3 ways to pick a non-Persian pair.
P(non-Persian pair) = 3/6 = 1/2
