A set of data is normally distributed with a mean of 100 and standard deviation of 15. SHOW ALL WORK
What would be the standard score for a score of 115?
What percentage of scores is between 100 and 115?
What would be the percentile rank for a score of 115?

Answer by John10(297)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
Use the formula z = (X - M)/s.d
a) z = (115 - 100)/15 = 15/15 = 1
b) P ( 100 < X < 115) = P((100 - 100)/15 c) Draw a picture and use 68%-95%-99.5% rule to find about 34% of the students who score 115.
