Question 473913: Help please!
The sample space of an experiment is
{A, B, C},
where P(A) + P(B) = 0.71, P(B) + P(C) = 0.41. Find P(A), P(B), and P(C).
P(A)=
P(B)=
P(C)=

Answer by robertb(5830)   (Show Source): You can put this solution on YOUR website!
We should have P(A) + P(B) + P(C) = 1, so that P(C) = 1 - (P(A) + P(B)) = 1-0.71 = 0.29, P(A) = 1 - (P(B) + P(C)) = 1-0.41 = 0.59.
==> P(B) = 1 - P(A) - P(C) = 1 - 0.59 - 0.29 = 0.12.
