n(S)=C(50000, 3) and n(A)=C(40000, 3)
The p(A), probability that 3 people chosen to be male is:P(A)=n(A)/n(S)
P(A)=C(40000, 3)/C(50000, 3)=0.512.

Hi,
Note: The probability of x successes in n trials is:
P = nCx* where p and q are the probabilities of success and failure respectively.
In this case p(male)= 40,000/50,000 = = .8 and q(female) = .2
nCx =
3 chosen
P(3 males) = (.8)^3 = .512
